NOAA’s CAP/RISA network was well represented at the 2023 meeting for the American Association of Geographers in Denver, CO, with 15 members of the network in attendance, including CPO’s Genie Bey.
Alison Meadow, investigator with the Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS) and Southwest Climate Adaptation Center (SW CASC), and others representing the SW CASC and Karuk Tribe Department of Natural Resources co-author a new publication identifying research procedures that respect Indigenous sovereignty and use methods informed by Indigenous knowledge systems.
The Climate Assessment for the Southwest (CLIMAS), a NOAA CAP/RISA team, publishes the November episode of the SW Climate Podcast, “Checking in on the Extended Transition Season.”
