This workshop was the culmination of months of engagement between the U.S. Government and Government of Indonesia, it included multiple U.S. agencies and Indonesian ministries, and contributed to diplomatic progress on climate change collaboration.
This workshop is a part of NOAA engagements with Department of State colleagues and other US government partners to advance activity area 4 of the US Government and Government of Indonesia Climate Task Force 2 (TF2) Natural Capital and Ecosystem Services.
CPO’s Climate Observation Division will help support the 11th 11th NOAA-Indonesia Ocean-Climate Observations, Analysis, and Applications Partnership Workshop, upcoming May 13-17.
OAR’s Craig Mclean signed an Implementing Arrangement with Dr. Andi Sakya, Director-General of Indonesia’s Badan, Meteorologi, Klimatologi, Don Geofisika (BMKG) Weather-Climate Service on Sunday, January 10, 2016 during the 2016 Meeting of the American Meteorological Society in New Orleans.
