NOAA Climate Program Office funding opportunity for FY 2014 now available

On August 13, NOAA’s Climate Program Office (CPO) announced a federal funding opportunity for the 2014 fiscal year. The full announcement of opportunity is available on the CPO Funding Opportunities page and on the Grants.Gov website. Letters of intent are due by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Sept. 10, 2013, and the deadline for final applications is Nov. 14, 2013.

Acting NOAA Administrator mentions CPO-supported project in keynote address

 Dr. Kathryn D. Sullivan delivered the Welcome and Opening Keynote Address at Capitol Hill Oceans Week on June 4 in Washington, D.C. One of the projects Dr. Sullivan mentioned in her remarks was the Marine InVest tool. COCA-Funded Project to Strengthen Climate Understanding & Resilience in the River Valley

The Tijuana River Valley in Southern California has been the focus of major restoration, conservation, and research efforts, making it a regional system able to accommodate impacts associated with our changing climate. A project funded by CPO’s Coastal and Ocean Climate Applications program aims to maintain and improve the resiliency of this region.
